For starters this is hilarious. Just the mere mention of M3gh4n makes me want to turn this into a M3gh4n M1n0r appreciation rant. Chick is so cool. Getting hecka shit done. Livin pure punk life. Queen of house punks. You might not even realize how many favors you owe her. But you do.
So, there’s this classic quote from a MIND ERASER show. Might have even been the one in the Hampshire College DC (aka Saga) in 2006 where they played last after a room full of punks who’d shown up to see them had suffered through no less than 4 hours of noise bands. (I wonder what wmass allstar had a hand in pulling that off? ::coughDooleycoughcough::) They started the set with something off the first side of Cave and the room just fucking erupted. This edge girl Julia moshing like she was tryina commit a war crime. Could have been a different show though too.
Anyways, the quote comes from Brenden who, in between songs says:
“This next one…goes out… to Chill Will and M3gh4n M1n0r…its about…

HATERED”
How ridiculous! It still gets a laugh out of me thinking about it. Like M3gh4n giggling, waving a little bit and pushing up her glasses on her nose with a big smile on her face after he said that. Fuckinaye.
I always say those lines in between songs when we’re going though a set at practice.
